SUMMARY:FAIR Coffee lecture - Gowri Gopalakrishna
DESCRIPTION:UM is on a mission to become a leading example in the Open Scie
 nce movement\, which aims to make research papers\, data\, methods\, etc. 
 open to anyone so we can all benefit. The FAIR principles go hand-in-hand 
 with Open Science and they form a great guide to make sure that the resear
 ch you make Open\, can actually be used. With the FAIR Coffee lecture seri
 es\, the Open Science Community of UM\, in collaboration with the Communit
 y for Data-Driven Initiatives (CDDI)\, will help you find out more about t
 hese topics and discover how your colleagues have applied Open Science and
  FAIR principles to their research. These lectures are a perfect chance to
  dip your toes in the FAIR water and find inspiration in the work of other
 s! Coffee/tea and cookies will be waiting for you!\n\nUnfortunately\, the 
 lecture of 17 April is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We are t
 rying to reschedule and will announce this here and through our usual chan
 nels as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience!\n\nFor this ses
 sion of the FAIR Coffee lecture\, on April 17 2024 at 11 am\, we’ve invi
 ted Dr. Gowri Gopalakrishna. She is an epidemiologist and public health po
 licy scientist at Maastricht University and member of the Maastricht Unive
 rsity Platform for Research Ethics &amp\; Integrity. She will give a prese
 ntation entitled "Pandemic Science\, Open Science and Research Quality" in
  which she will share some insights on the Covid 19 crisis and how it impa
 cted open science and research quality. More information can be found in t
