For this session of the FAIR Coffee lecture, on April 3rd 2025 at 13:00, we’ve invited Dr. Ir. Sandra Geurts (1985), a clinical epidemiologist working at the division of Medical Oncology, MUMC+. She has extensive experience in setting up and performing cohort studies. Sandra is the co-PI of the SONABRE registry, a regional registry of patients diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 11 hospitals in the Southeast of Netherlands. She is a board member of the Dutch Breast Cancer Cohort, a national initiative to set up an infrastructure for breast cancer research in the Netherlands. As part of her Data2Care fellowship, Sandra and her colleagues develop and validate the use of CTcue in patient selection and data collection for breast cancer studies. As recent recipient of a ZonMw grant, she can share her experience with the requirements from ZonMw regarding steps you can take to improve the FAIRness of your data. You can find the abstract here.
