Dennie Hebels

Open Science Ambassador FHML

Open Science policy and FAIR guidelines have been part of my work for more than 10 years. After a PhD and several post-doctoral positions in “big data” transcriptomics, my experience with handling data resulted in the development of the cBiT data repository, which shares biomaterial-based transcriptomics data. In my current position as a project manager at the MERLN Institute, I serve as data steward and coordinate MERLN’s data management activities in a strategy that embraces the FAIR guidelines. I also work part-time at the Library as Open Science Officer where I coordinate the implementation of the UM Open Science policy. I’m available for questions from people both within and outside FHML so just send me an email if you need help!
